Brush Truck 1841
Brush 1841 is a 1990 GMC 2500 Sierra 4-Wheel Drive Pick-up. Brush 1841 is the First Attack Apparatus on wildland fires.
The brush truck responds with a Wildfire Skid Unit. Consisting of 250 GPM Hale Pump, a Booster Tank with 220 gallons of water. This unit is built by CW WILLIAMS Co. The Tank can be Refill with the 3"intake is located on the rear of the unit for faster refills at a draft site or when the tank is supplied by another unit. There is a Class A foam cell that can supply all hose lines mounted on the unit.
The unit carries a booster hose, 250'long. 50 feet of 2.5" supply line. There is also a short section of 1.5" hose to be used when the unit is moving. There by making a rolling attack on field, grass or wildland fires. There is a compartment located on each side of the unit for storeage. 600' of Forestry hose is also carried for extending attack away from the unit while combatting wildland fires.
This unit is dependant on a tanker to keep its water supply close by for refills.
